Flexible Scan & Frequency Antennas

ThinKom is currently developing an omni-directional, 2-way antenna that is very compact in size and height, that can extend down into very low frequencies (below 6GHz) when required, then instantly switch to a directional beam-steered antenna. This technology allows the user to scan omni-directionally across multiple bands for its target signal, then switch to a directional beam at the target frequency for high gain applications. Market segments may include WiMax, WiFi, and WAN (cellular) networks, as well as other terrestrial and satellite networks, such as satellite radio and GPS.
